Czech Armed Forces Intelligence Support Division Conference 2025

Czech Armed Forces Intelligence Support Division Conference 2025

The Intelligence Support Division Conference 2025 builds on the long-standing efforts of the Department of Intelligence Support at the University of Defence to develop military intelligence, ISR and Electromagnetic Warfare capabilities. Designed as a discussion-focused professional forum, the conference addresses real operational requirements and connects the educational environment, defence industry and military users across strategic, operational and tactical levels of command and control.

Key topics included education and training in Intelligence Support within the Czech Armed Forces, the use of automation and artificial intelligence, the role of software tools in supporting intelligence processes, and current issues across INT, ISR and EW. Discussions reflected lessons from real-world operations, NATO standards and the ongoing transformation of Czech Armed Forces capabilities within the broader C4ISTAR architecture.

JISR Institute contributed with a presentation titled “Use of Software Applications, Automation and Artificial Intelligence to Support Intelligence Support Processes within the Czech Armed Forces”. We presented our concept of systems for coordinating INTEL, ISR and EW in both national and coalition environments – C2/C4 solutions that integrate intelligence, surveillance/reconnaissance and EW capabilities into a single software ecosystem and enable efficient command and control in near real time.

The showcased software tools are designed to streamline and automate Intelligence Support processes and the command and control of Electromagnetic Warfare. They provide functionality for planning, tasking and managing organic and assigned sensors, collecting data and producing intelligence products, including multi-layered situational awareness and a comprehensive picture of the electromagnetic environment.

At the same time, they support all phases of the intelligence cycle – direction, collection, processing and dissemination – and align with the TCPED approach to ISR. In the EW domain, the systems offer capabilities for planning, control, coordination, monitoring, integration and assessment of activities against both communications and non-communications emitters in a dynamically changing environment.

Another important aspect is support for data-centric EW enabling measures, in particular the classification, identification and management of parametric data captured by national EW assets. These data are consolidated, standardised and prepared for exploitation in both national and NATO contexts. The overall aim is to increase interoperability with existing Czech Armed Forces systems and with NATO systems, and to ensure seamless integration into the wider C4ISTAR architecture.

Participation in the Czech Armed Forces Intelligence Support Conference 2025 underlines JISR Institute’s long-term focus on software-based C2/C4 solutions for Intelligence, ISR and Electromagnetic Warfare. It also provides a valuable opportunity to align developments between academia, operational users and industry – a key prerequisite for realistically implementing automation and AI into future military operations.
