Federated Cloud 2025 – Signal Corps Exercise

JISR Institute Validates ISR & EW Systems During Federated Cloud 2025 Exercise

JISR Institute actively participated in Federated Cloud 2025 (FECL 2025), the sixth iteration of the Czech Signal Corps’ largest communications interoperability exercise. The event took place from 26 March to 11 April 2025 at the 15th Engineer Regiment base in Bechyně and other sites across the Czech Republic and selected NATO member countries.

The exercise, involving over 1,300 military specialists from four Allied nations, focused on the interoperability of communication and information systems under the NATO Federated Mission Networking (FMN) framework. Participants tested capabilities designed for deployment from headquarters to frontline units, even under simulated hostile conditions such as infrastructure outages, cyber threats, and electromagnetic interference.

FECL 2025 featured several key components:

  • Deployment of newly acquired communication systems in realistic operational contexts;
  • Evaluation of cloud-based military IT infrastructures and resilience;
  • Communication tests under simulated combat conditions and cyber‑critical scenarios;
  • Validation of backup communication channels for crisis situations;
  • Demonstrations of satellite communications and AI-enhanced networking

JISR Institute leveraged the exercise to field-test its ISR and EW systems, confirming seamless integration, compatibility, and reliable interoperability under dynamic and contested conditions.
